Born in Chisinau, Moldova, Larisa Soboleva began her piano studies at the age of five. In 2003, she was accepted into the National Academy of Music, Theatre and Fine Arts in Chisinau. In 2008, Ms. Soboleva received a full scholarship from Rowan University and a full scholarship to the University of Miami in 2012, where she completed her doctorate studies. During her years of study, Larisa has won prizes in National and International Competitions in Moldova, Ukraine, Romania and the U.S. She has performed with the National Orchestra of Teleradio Moldova and the orchestra of Rowan University. Larisa believes that anyone can learn to play the piano, and she strives to bring out the best qualities in each student while setting short and long-term goals for each student along the way.
Larisa offers weekly group lessons for ages 5 through adult and incorporates note-reading, theory, technique, ear training, rhythm instruments, harmonization and performance into her curriculum. Larisa also utilizes music games to keep classes fun and engaging. Students participate in a student recital at the end of the semester. Classes are divided into groups based on the student’s age and experience and range from 2 to 6 students per class. For children’s classes, parent participation is encouraged but not required. Tuition for group classes is $37.00 per hour, plus materials and registration.

Note: There is a $25.00 enrollment fee, payable to Steinway Piano Gallery, due at registration. Siblings are $15.00.
