Group Classes for Ages 2-10
Hannah Frantz offers group MYC lessons at Steinway Piano Gallery in Commerce Township and private lessons at Liberty General Baptist Church in Auburn Hills. As a piano teacher since 2007, Hannah’s goal is to instill a love for the piano into her students and meet their musical goals.
Hannah offers group piano lessons for ages 3-10, by utilizing the MYC method. MYC introduces children to music through a multi-sensory approach that meets every learning style. Based around the keyboard, lessons include singing, creative movement, theory, rhythm ensembles, composition, sight-reading and more. Children who complete all the levels of the program are well prepared for intermediate-level piano lessons with a private instructor, or study on another instrument. MYC is a 1-year (3-semester) program that begins in October and runs through June (addl. start dates may be available). Weekly classes are one hour and include one parent per child. Tuition is $336 per semester, and a $180 material fee supplies students for the year.
MYC "Sunrise" is available for children ages 2-3. This pre-keyboard program helps children develop listening awareness, fine motor skills, attention span and social skills. Puppet friends Buzz, Buddy and Mellow guide children on their musical journey with songs and games that include singing, rhythm and ear training. Children who complete "Sunrise" are well prepared to enter "Sunshine 1" of MYC's keyboard classes. Sunrise is divided into 3 (10-week) blocks at $300 per block. Materials are included. Classes run for 45 minutes per week and include one parent per child.
Note: There is a $25.00 enrollment fee, payable to Steinway Piano Gallery, due at registration. Siblings are $15.00.
