Judy Moslak has been teaching piano for over 20 years. She specializes in ensemble piano and makes the teaching of duets, trios and quartets a regular part of her private-lesson curriculum. She is an active player in Friends of Four Hands, playing and teaching four-hand music to her students. Ms. Moslak feels playing ensemble music is an excellent way to teach piano; it improves sight reading, teaches the student how to “get back in,” and demands that the student count accurately and listen to all the parts.
Ms. Moslak provides private piano lessons to ages 4 and up. Lessons are tailored to meet each student’s goals, and a variety of performance opportunities are available, in both private and ensemble settings. Ms. Moslak offers students the opportunity to participate in Junior Festival (Federation) and MMTA Student Achievement Testing, where students are judged in aural awareness, sight- reading and transposition, technique, theory and performance. In these settings, students can earn awards and trophies for receiving high performance ratings. Tuition for lessons is $35 per half hour, billed monthly. Additional fees apply for materials and participation in some performance events.
Wouldn’t it be fun to play the piano with a friend? How about 3 or 4 friends? Judy Moslak offers students taking private piano lessons with another instructor the opportunity to put those hard-earned piano skills to the test and learn to play in an ensemble. Students are paired with other students, and together they learn to play duets, trios and quartets in preparation for recitals. To learn more about each session, click here.
Note: There is a $25.00 enrollment fee, payable to Steinway Piano Gallery, due at registration. Siblings are $15.00.
